Hi, my name is Peter and I am a freelance web developer and designer. My spare time is largely dedicated to researching the latest principles of web design as well as developing proficiency in the latest web technologies. Lately my research has taken me to jquery and Ajax which I believe are essential to having an updated, professional and interactive web presence
I work alone and have a basic knowledge in most aspects of the design process. I am also a big fan of Open Source software and endeavour to integrate these as much as possible. This is a great way to reduce costs and also ensures good standard coding practices have been applied. The only drawback is some software may require an unobtrusive link to the owner however this link can always be removed by purchasing a licence. Ultimately your website will cost substantially less than if obtained through a commercial design firm and there will always be support provided
My areas of preference are developing solutions using PHP and customising templates however I am also up to creating a site from scratch, all depending on the TIME !! ffactor
